Workflow
From sensor dump to same-day handoff
Same-day handoffs fail when teams open every tool at once. We coach a narrow pipeline: triage the pulse, draft a three-line sequence, request only the missing media, then cut the brief. Everything else waits for the afternoon revision if the supervisor asks.
Morning triage
Sort packs into “clear primary,” “needs quiet-middle work,” and “blocked on evidence.” Only the first two enter the same-day path. Blocked packs get an explicit wait note — silence is what creates rumor briefs.
Cut for lunch
The handoff page should answer: what contacted what, in what order, with which uncertainty. If you cannot fit that on one page, you are still drafting analysis, not handing off.
This pipeline shows up again in the Field Lab’s week-five writing clinic, where learners race a timer with a redacted sample dump.
